The COM, created as an extension of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito College of Music due to the increase in students in this field, is located across the street from USFQ. The old buildings on the block next to the university are planned to be demolished, and the university intends to purchase the site for this new faculty. On a long triangular lot, I propose a multi-functional building with an open floor plan for uninterrupted movement, social spaces, and a cafeteria. The new facility will include a main auditorium, a smaller auditorium, recording studios, private rehearsal rooms for both small and large instruments, and, of course, classrooms.
